2016 Travel Photos Via PRISMA... A Visual Review

Once in awhile when you feel as your creativity is lacking and you need a boost it is a great idea to try something a bit different. The Prisma app was released a few months ago on both Android and iOS and right from the beginning I was fascinated by the amazing on click painterly results you could get on your smartphone. Here are just a few travel photos I shot during our adventures in 2016, all converted using the Prisma app.

Note 5 camera. A visual review

Recently I just upgraded my cell phone from an iPhone 5s to the relatively new Samsung Galaxy Note 5. I know what you may be thinking, from IOS to Android. Why? As a photographer my decision making when it comes to gadgets is usually based on image making and this one was no exception. With a 16MP f1.9 camera, the ability to shoot optical image stabilized 4K video and features like Auto real-time HDR it seemed like a no brainer. To round off the list of amazing features you capture this all in DNG raw format, now thats awesome. After having it a week I can tell you that in my experience it out shines the iPhone both in the UI department and sheer image quality. This is not an exhaustive review rather just an opinion. Here are a few images I took at a recent father's day car show. I edited all of the images in VSCO film and some minor tweeks in Snapseed. Enjoy.
